I didn't know if this was a good deal or not, but rtings put it at the top as one of the best soundbar you can buy. I have an 77 LG C1 waiting for at microcenter.

BUT it was half the cost so I'm buying now and waiting for you guys to comment to decide if I should return it for something else. Please advise

Placed an order for this. Will see how 'excellent' the condition of the soundbar is and decide whether to keep it or not. The price looks very good but not as sleek as the Q950B deal which I missed.

I got one, pretty sure this is a solid price on a good soundbar. Only way I think you will do better is when a price mistake comes along, which does happen sometimes. Been looking at soundbars for a few months so I can upgrade my buggy 4 year old Vizio unit.

Spend a little more and get tge 990b. It's improved a lot from 950a and the casing around the bar is changed from cloth to plastic and metal

I bought an open box excellent 950a from them before. It was their display model that they were trying to get rid of. It came with no box or the remote. I returned it back after being unable to connect the wireless sub and satellites.

Sounds like the 990 is bigger overall and more powerful rears, with a couple upgrades to the woofer. This is still a pretty solid soundbar for a living room home setup. My Vizio is an older 5.1 system and isn't awful, but it is buggy and auto shuts off all the time in addition to temoporarily losing the wireless connection to the sub and rears during playback. I'm no audiophile, but this should be plenty good for watching action movies with the wife on the couch.

Does this one have the feature that adapts to your specific home setup?

It does, but slightly different than the 990 as that also has special treatment of the woofer
