I'd mention that DOT is the safety standard equivalent of hiring a blow up doll as a lifeguard, but these are so cheap it can't be worse than no helmet, right?

Look for ECE rating for actual bare minimum safety.

Garbage. Don't put your own head, or anyone's you knows head, in this helmet. If the thought is "this is better than nothing" just get off the bike.
