Well good for you. This is a deal compared to current and available offerings. And I wanted another V8 because that's what I have and like and already have accessories for... and it's $100 cheaper than what you paid.
And if you got the 'Animal' version then I wonder if you got the fluffy head.
Probably because the deal was for a V10 not a V11. It was a year ago and he had a $100 off coupon code that no one else could get to work and the deal has never showed up again.

Not sure if we were just unlucky, but the trigger guard on our 3 or 4 year old V8 Animal broke after 2 years or so (superglued it back together).
Recently, the latch on the bin lid broke (the lid would no longer stay closed), so we ended up getting a replacement lid from Amazon, as Dyson was sold out of the bin assembly. Also, the wand is starting to detach from the two clips on either end of the wand, so I had to superglue it back together, and then had to reinforce it with duct tape.
With that said, we use our V8 every single day, and sometimes multiple times a day. We bought it from Costco for $299 3 or 4 years ago, and it has served us well. While the V8 is an older model, it is a model we are familiar with, and have been satisfied with. This particular sale seems good considering it includes the fluffy attachment, which will hopefully be better for our wood floors.
which basically defeats the primary reason for getting a Dyson - the power.
you don't need max power for everything. it's lightweight and powerful enough for ordinary daily cleaning.
if you place is so dirty that needs max all the time, then absolutely no handheld vaccum will save you and you better stick with something like a shopvac.
Nobody will care but I had 2 V8s and sold them both.
They are incredibly inconvenient to use, short battery life, heavy in the hand. Hair catches in the roller and requires using a screw driver to disassemble the head and cut the hair out.
I would not but a V8 before an Omni or V11 or something else entirely but YMMV.

It is because of the high power suction in my other Dyson (Animal upright) VACUUM that my place is NOT dirty. Note: I am just recently looking into stick vacuums with removable handhelds to make the job easier. From what I'm seeing, I'm probably better off with corded models.

Then you DON'T need max power at all time. Otherwise if you really need that every horsepower of a corded Animal to clean 100% of time then you stick with corded for the rest of your life.
Right now I'm on an ancient V6 and an ancient DC14, and I can just use the V6 for most of daily little cleanings. It's easy and lightweight enough that I don't feel compelled to drag out the DC14 for every little thing.

I have personally owned two of these and they suck. Both of them the batteries have gone to s***. Literally you can vacuum with them about 1 minute now and they turn off.

batteries degrade, it's physics, it's inevitable. if that bothers you stick with corded because that isn't changing in your lifetime.
paid is diff from sold & shipped. this deal is fulfilled by Walmart, at least per website. i think one should be able to return to Walmart if indeed it is fulfilled by Walmart.
I thought so too. The one I bought specifically said on the Walmart website when I bought it that it was returnable to any Walmart store yet when I brought it to them they said they couldn't take it and wouldn't. Everything had to go through Dyson. I would expect no different here. Unless it says Walmart and only Walmart, chances are you'll have to go through the other party. Definitely not worth the hassle.

Yes it bothers me and what's that got to do with your comment. I posted that here so people interested. Would know that the battery suck. They degrade very fast.

That simply means it's time to buy new battery.
Also some people keeps it charging whenever it's not in use. That is a no no.

Unfortunately I just returned it 5 mins ago. My 90 day return window was closing soon.
