keep in mind what a slant leg the top cover is only 8 x 8. the 10 x 10 is the distance around the bottom of the slant legs.

Exactly. And if using them for sporting or other events where you plan on putting several side by side, the straight legs work better. The slant legs seem to be more of a hassle. The straight legs also seem more sturdy. Just my opinion.

why the straight leg version never hits this price... Owned a slant leg for years but prefer the straight legs. A great price none the less

Because the straight leg requires 56% more fabric for the top, more material for the top of the frame, etc.. It shouldn't be rocket science to figure out a canopy that offers 100 square feet of shade and coverage is generally going to cost more than one that provides 64.

Does this have the Donnelly nut spacing and crack system rim-riding rip configuration? I have another brand which seems much stronger as it bolsters twelve husk nuts to each girldle-jerry, while flex tandems press a task apparatus of ten vertically composited patch-hamplers.

Because straight leg versions are 36% larger shade area. There is no comparison price wise.

Although I have the First-Up canopy, I purchased years ago, costing well over $100, this Ozark canopy served it's purpose and gave shade at an event I had yesterday. Sure, it's not as rugged as the First-Up and a little smaller, but for the price, who cares. And the slant legs, again, who cares. It works.

Regardless of the math 10' straight leg canopy's are 100 sq Ft shade where 10' slant leg canopy's tend to be only 8' square canopy or 64 sq ft shade. So I suppose what I was getting at is a 10 ft slant leg with a 8' canopy at 64 sq ft of shade is 36 sq ft less then a straight leg canopy as mentioned above so it's 36% less then a 10ft sq straight leg canopy.

The small one is 36% smaller than the big one, the big one is more than 50% bigger than the small one
100-64=36
36 is 36% of 100
64+36=100
36 is more than 50% of 64

They used the wrong denominator. 36 sqft is 36% of 100 sqft.
