too bad they didn't make the husky brand lettering bigger
Eh, these are for tradesman. You can carry material in your hands with your tools on your back. Plus alot of buildings you're going up 3-8 floors worth of steps so it's nice to make as few trips as possible. For residential it's stupid though, yes
Commercial electrician here. I'd say at this point the majority of us working in the city are using backpacks, that is a silly statement. Are we using $15 backpacks? No, Veto makes a fantastic backpack ($$$), The Klein backpack is just OK. I plan on grabbing a couple of these. I'm hoping they are good enough quality for some backup tools, we shall see.

I can't believe all the stupid items that are a thing nowadays.

As a person who owns many tools, I can tell you that a backpack is not enough. You can say that I should get two, but then how do I know which tool belongs in which backpack. You could say that I should get 3 and then label them. We'll we're back to square one, a backpack is simply not enough.

Not to mention many commercial HVAC units are on the roof....which is only accessible via ladders. Much easier to carry your tools on you back than climb a ladder with one hand or trying to fish up your tools via a rope (that is dangerous for the person on the roof and anyone who might be at ground level).
Perhaps things are only "stupid" to those who do not understand them? Plenty of people think the concept of a round earth is "stupid"...doesn't mean they are right
Side note: this bag looks like junk. Seems to be single switch only, like a cheap school BigLots backpack that wouldn't last one 6th grade semester. Cannot imagine this will survive many uses filled with heavy tools poking at the sides or tugging on seams.

So you're saying a $14 tool bag isn't professional/commercial grade? ๐๐๐๐

But then my massive Milwaukee patch won't fit over it..

If you don't want to pull the stitching, get a red Sharpie.
So the 13" is $15, and 16" is $50.
