Keep your receipt. Last year these 6K dropped on Clearance to $62 by mid-October. the 5050 went to $45. YMMV of course.

Yes. The weather varies from one part of the country to the next. And peoples' heating and cooling needs vary depending on their homes and what existing HVAC equipment it has.

I'm in California. I don't need heat. For about 2 weeks out the year, it will get hot enough that I like to use a window AC in my master bedroom, rather than trying to cool down the entire house.

Deal expires at midnight tonight. After extended chat with a manager I got an agreement to sell to me at that price after they actually come back in stock. I had gotten about 30 "back in stock" emails, but it never was.

Two of these units is one ton of cooling. On a 3200 SqFt house you're looking at 4-5 tons of cooling needed for the entire house. So you'd need 8-10 of these depending how cool you want it and your layout.

Well I just figured a few of these be cheaper than running two Central AC units, straight for 16 hours a day.

One would definitely cool a bedroom they're in but that's about it. But they'd com no where near able to cool the entire house which was the original question I thought you asked.

I was in my local Target today. They had quite a few of all different sizes in store, even though it shows 'Out of Stock' online. Target does that a lot. What they make available to order online doesn't always match up with their In-Store inventory.
