This oven is previously $499 and is the same design as the previous Member's Mark Pizza oven from a few years back.

https://www.samsclub.com/p/pizza-...od21390049

The ash grate is in the back which does take up floor real estate. You are looking at 13" pizzas at most after using wood, but the stone is 3/4 inch thick which is thicker than most budget pizza ovens in this category and uses full size pieces of wood. It is a rebrand of the NXR pizza oven.

Impressive to get a freight shipped pizza oven for $299

Highlights
Wood fire pizza oven
Finish: Black
91% steel, 6% stainless steel, 3% polypropylene
Dimensions: 47.2" x 30.7" x 69.1"
For outdoor use only

I picked up the $97 wood/charcoal 15" pizza oven deal from Walmart. Totally worth it! Heats up to 800F+ using lump wood charcoal and almond wood chunks. Could use a slightly thicker stone (it's only 1/2" I believe), but not a deal breaker.

Honestly, save yourself the hassle of any wood/charcoal pizza oven & go straight to propane powered ones. You'll thank yourself later & the taste is 100% the same without all the associated hassle
Is this Hank Hill?

I recieved this $97 one today and made 4 pizzas. The inside got up to 700 degrees or so but the thin stone remained only 200-300 degrees even though I waited over half hour to start cooking. Maybe it was because I used charcoal briquettes. So I had trouble cooking the bottom while trying not to burn the top.

I made 8 pizzas with no issues. Read the original deal thread and the Reddit sub that was mentioned there for tips.

Hank: "There's soot under my boy's fingernails! You don't get that from clean burning propane!"
Bobby: "You don't get the rich, smokey flavor, either…"
Hank: "Shut..your.. mouth! Now, we're goin' to sit here and pray."

I have experience with the previous sam's club model. It is easier to use than some of the portable pizza ovens and can take full size wood

I do! I love it! Takes a while to get those wood coals glowing and the temp up but this is the best pizza ever! When the wood catches fire, close the door (mine has a little vent). I think is says not to but it'll take longer to get the temp to 600 degrees. Sams also use to have a wood paddle and peel set for a good price. Don't use charcoal briquettes..

Thank you for your response. I make pizzas quite often but only in my home Gas oven. What kind of wood do you typically use in this oven? Can we use 2X4 scrap wood? TIA

Can the stone be switched to a thicker one? or is it held down that it cannot be taken out?

It can be taken out. However, the clearance between the top of the stone and the curvature of the walls where they meet the bottom is very small. So I don't think you can fit a thicker stone there. I might try replacing it with a pizza steel at a later point just out of the curiosity. But even the original stone works just fine if you learn how to manage the temp with lump charcoal and wood chunks. I cooked 8 pizzas singlehandedly over the course of several hours and they all came out fine.

Great review. I am really interested in getting this as it's still available. It's hard to see from the photo's but how big is the actual door? Is there enough room in there to put a full size pizza and full size wood or is it super small. I wish there were photos of someone standing next to it so I could see the size. Also do you think it will rust? it says it's steel and stainless steel mix, I am trying to figure out how I would store this since it doesn't say it comes with a cover. Is it easy to move around if you have to? Any extra info would be awesome.
