Samsung [samsung.com] has has for EDU/EPP Members: 65" Samsung Class S95B OLED 4K Smart TV (2022, QN65S95BAFXZA) on sale for $1649.99 when you follow the deal instructions below. Shipping is free.

Also, this part might be YMMV but when you're in the cart open customer chat and talk to a CS service rep. I asked about whether there was a mount included in the box for wall mounting and they said no but that they could throw in free unboxing and installation (normally $120). Also note: this only seems replicable on EPP and not EDU.

Note: this is $190 cheaper than last week's Front Page deal.

Deal Instructions:
  1. Visit the Samsung Discount Program [samsung.com] page and select your qualifying program
  2. Go to 65" Samsung Class S95B OLED 4K Smart TV [samsung.com] (2022, QN65S95BAFXZA)
  3. Add to cart
  4. You may be prompted to sign into your EDU/EPP Account
  5. Proceed to checkout
  6. Your total should be $1649.99 + free shipping

Specs:
  • Resolution: 3840x2160
  • Refresh Rate: 120Hz
  • Certified (HDR10+ Adaptive & HDR10+ GAMING)
  • Smart TV with Bixby Voice, Apps and Full Web Browser
  • Ports:
    • 4x HDMI
    • 2x USB
    • 1x Ethernet
    • 1x RF Input
    • 1x Digital Audio Out (Optical)
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

MAKE SURE YOU LIFT THE TV CORRECTLY.
The entire top 90% of the box comes off (my installers lifted the tv out of the top of the box for some reason). Also, lift from the middle sides and the bottom middle (my installers placed it face-down on the bed to install the mount, they then lifted from the corners flexing the tv a ton). This TV bends fairly easily since it's so thin.

Yes and no. IMO it's better by a wide margin than everything else in the $1700 and under price tag. When comparing to others at it's original $3000 msrp? Nah. I recommend using RTINGS for the fine comparisons....

Bestbuy won't match an item that isn't available to everyone. So because this price is only for those with certain samsung accounts, they will not price match it. I asked myself!

The initial yield rate when mass production started earlier in Fall of last year was 50% and they rapidly improved the yield rate to 85% which is much faster than LG which took them several years for their WOLED tvs. Not to mention the fact that Samsung Display only has one gen 8.5 line producing 30,000 substrates a month compared to LG display with 90k substrates a month. OLED tvs will get cheaper due to economies of scale, so we can see the price of QDOLED go even lower than the price of current WOLED if production capacity is increased.

We will most likely see Samsung Display announce by Q4 of this year or Q1 next year that they'll expand capacity to produce 60,000 substrates per month given that that they sold off their last lcd fab and need to transition to another display technology as soon as possible.

In the long run, if Samsung finishes their research for QNED and irons out all the kinks to enable mass production, we will see an even better display technology. The eventual evolution of qdoled is to replace the oled backlight with leds and it would be a qd-microled/nanoled display which is what QNED is. The equipment for QNED/QDOLED is similar except the expensive deposition machines for OLED are not necessary for QNED so the conversion of qdoled to qned wouldn't be difficult and QNED's launch price should theoretically be cheaper than qdoled. Of course this is likely a couple of years away from now happening the earliest by 2025 or 2026.
They didn't so much nerf the brightness as they improved accuracy. If all you care about is brightness and not picture quality, then buy an LED instead of OLED and set it to Vivid mode.
I can't think of anything less in the spirit of what this forum is all about than this comment.
I'd wager that all of us have the money for most of these things at their retail price, but we are here for the deals. We all know that a dollar saved feels better than a dollar earned. And so with that in mind, your comment makes little sense.

As mentioned above, Samsung support (before placing the order) provided a custom cart/promo code to give free installation which I will actually use because I live alone. Delivery is in a week and installation is two days after that.

Update: It's down from $1725 to $1650. Also, based on comments I think it's EPP only - not EDU sadly.

Someone in the other thread said "The Samsung site is a little buggy, clear out your history and cookies and try again. It might be good luck it didn't work as the price just dropped to 1724.99 for me." Hopefully that works for you Smilie

I attached my 'receipt" if it helps.

Don't know what you mean exactly. I added only my tv to the cart, then opened up the chat/customer support and asked if there were any discounts and they offered the free installation via a unique cart that they set up. They then also provided the promo code for the free install.

Oh nope. I already have a JBL 9.1 and didn't need anything else. Someone in the previous thread mentioned clearing cookies/history or using a different fresh browser. Also, make sure you're logged into EPP for the discount.
