Wish I'd gotten around to sending in my old Kindle Voyage so I had a 20% discount waiting. My Oasis is getting a bit run down and I'd love to jump on this.
I'd pay extra to have the cover included but even if I had the charging dock I probably wouldn't use it.
I only need to charge mine a couple of times per month and it's extremely easy to plug it into a usb cord and let it sit on a counter/nightstand to charge up

I would never give up my Kindle Voyage. I'd rather buy a broken Kindle off Facebook Marketplace for $10 or so and trade that in to get a 20% off coupon. A Kindle Voyage is easy to open and replace the battery and it has a 300 dpi e-ink screen. The only thing it really lacks is a warm light and water resistance. Outside that it favorably compares with any Kindle sold today.

Last time they had trade in discount, I chated with Amazon and got a Out of Warranty promo for 15% without trade in. I guess my old Kindle was out of warranty and I was able to get promo through it.
Not sure the wireless charging is ready worth the extra. These things last an incredible amount of time anyway.
Agreed. I love wireless charging on my devices, but plugging it in with usb-c once every month or two just isn't worth any extra cost to me. The other benefit is it comes with 32GB, but again, that doesn't provide any real value for me since I don't store anywhere near that much on it.

I bought the Kids version and like others are saying here, that's the real deal when the price is right. The Signature version is really for people who like to spend money and have the top tier item almost irrespective of what it offers. The first 60 seconds of this video[youtube.com] explains it well.
And for anyone wondering, 8GB is a LOT of storage for printed materials, and still a lot for audio.
I don't recommend these for anything other than pure text books. They don't work well for illustrations, diagrams. images, etc. They also don't work well with PDFs because zooming can get very tedious. You're better off with a tablet for those types of publications.

The Kids Edition bundle is the best deal for most people. Better warranty on the same device without wireless charge.
