Looks like it comes with a 10ft USB-A type connector. Not sure if you can use a longer extension USB cable, but yeah....it does need a power source

If you have a ring plan, I'd go with ring. I have kasa and ring plan so it will depend on use and purpose. My kasa camera are used as motion sensors when I'm on vacation. Each camera is connected to a kasa switch or plug which will turn on a designated light to a room to make it look like someone is home. My ring camera is recorded to the cloud and has a backup battery and connection so it is primarily for when I need recording at the most vital locations.

Drill hole in house. Run power cord to nearest outlet.

Keep in mind that this uses a USB-A connector that is permanently attached to the camera, so you may potentially need to make a large hole to pass it through. Maybe up to 1/4 of an inch.

price is now $41.99 with code 8KASABTS through 8/20. Think I'm going to do it. I don't love my other kasa cams but hoping this one is better.

Ring won't do continuous stream. I think most it will go is 5 minutes.
I would go with wyze. Free 10sec cloud storage and mem card slot for replay no subscription needed

I'm aware it doesn't have continuous stream. Kasa cameras do if they have a memory card. Inside my garage I have continuous recording.
