Can this be set up in combination with an existing Archer A7 router?

I tried a different version of these and my only option was to create a new network with these.
If you already have an Archer A7 just get a tp-link extender that works with Ai-Mesh. That will extend the current WiFi the archer is putting out.
That turned out to be way easier and cheaper then fudging with one of these mesh systems. These seem to only be for people that want a new wifi network and don't really rely on hardwire connections too.

All Decos are meshable and expandable, I would put the main unit as its probably more powerful than the plug in extenders in the garage, depending on how many hops to get to the garage your speeds might not be great though, everytime you add a hop pretty much cut your speed in half a simple rule of thumb. So if you have 500 meg internet, your first hop satellites probably around 250 megs anything chaining off them would be around 125megs so on and so fourth. This does not apply if you are running a hardwire which is refereed to as ethernet backhaul from the units to the main Deco.
