I have an Echo that I like because it is a Zigbee hub. Is the Nest Hub worth making the change?

Isn't wyze the company that basically left their systems completely open, allowing people to view your camera's? And then took months to do anything about it

What's the point of the hub? Have 2 Wyze cams and work fine without one.

Nope. Local storage can be accessed without subscription.

The Nest Hub is not a Zigbee or Z-Wave Hub. It doesn't have those radios. Google uses the term hub to mean you can control your smart devices from its screen.

An addendum that is probably obvious but just in case.... you need to buy a micro SD card for each camera to record locally.
There's no onboard storage, at least for the v3 cams.

On the page that's linked for this deal, one of the top comments is that the streaming to the hub is really poor and crashes. I didn't bother to keep digging through more reviews.
