How do I add a new line to my account?
You can add a new line by:
Purchasing a Tracfone device and service plan online or at a retailer
Bringing your own phone and purchasing a SIM card and service plan online or at a retailer
NOTE: You MUST add the new line to your account in order to receive your points

Tried both adding a line and referring one as a brand new one. On the refer the new phone gets 5000 and the referral person gets zero points.

When it works it's great. Otherwise forget about it! And not much in between really.
I just got in a mess w Tracfone Wireless thru eBay. 800 nbr says they aren't affiliated (which I didn't know). So when PIN link didn't work & no one answered msgs it got ugly.
I did eventually get my money back aft 10 days of bs w them & Ebay's ever so helpful customer (lack of) support. But that won't ever happen again.

For anyone having the problem of add-a-line bonus points not showing up, see this post.
(For BYOD, I had to chat twice to see the points. First agent would pair the IMEI with SIM (somehow it didn't trigger AAL bonus), and the points showed up after the second agent added the IMEI (SIM # not necessary anymore.)
You ask the chat agent to add the SIM (you may also need to provide a phone IMEI that has not previously used on Tracfone, for the agent to pair it with the SIM) to your account without activation. If you see the 10K pending, you can proceed to activate the service with the $20 plan. If you don't see the pending points, remove the device (assuming IMEI and SIM have been paired by the 1st agent) from your account, and chat again with an agent to add it to your account (you only need to provide the phone IMEI; SIM # should not be necessary). This time you should see the points pending. If so, proceed to activate. Repeat this two more times. Points should become available on day 61, and you can redeem 20K for a $300 phone discount code.
