So your baby can have a drill to copy his big daddy, duh.

Get it. Get it for your baby.
I'm trying to think of a reason that I need to buy a "baby" drill press.
Unfortunately, I really don't need it.

Would this work well for drilling holes in hard drive platters? I have ~60 hard drives I need to destroy and I don't really have a good option to grind them up nearby, so drilling holes is the best I can do, I think.

I gave up using a hand drill for that after a couple. 😂

Would this be good for through hole drilling on basic circuit boards?

UPS just dropped this off a couple hours ago. Yes, its tiny, but the build quality is quite good. The table is cast iron and has been nicely decked and the body is also cast. The spindle travel is very limited as has been stated here, but adjusting the height of the motor literally takes seconds. I tried the smallest bit I had on hand (1/16") and the jaws grabbed it with no issues. Also the variable speed works really well with a nice rheostat style of speed adjustment. Overall I'm really impressed for the price. It makes sense that it got here so quickly because the warehouse is only a couple of hours from me.

Would this be good for completing 80% lowers or stick with the Harbor Freight drill press?

Have really been looking forward to a baby drill press, but it was not large enough to accommodate any of the babies I tried it on.

Okay. I'll bite. What is this? A drill press for ants?
