$70 is with ads just to note.
Worth it with Amex $25 offer?
I have the half off deal, and I am honestly having a hard time justifying that. I haven't watched anything on HBO/MAX for a couple of months.

If only they would let me subscribe through YouTube tv at a reasonable price

But $14.99/month is stupid and I have combined services so that I don't have a billion other services in different places that I forget about.

My half off deal ends Sept 17. Hopefully I'll be able to sign up then with the $25 off Amex offer.

There are a lotta great shows on hbo max, despite the negativity of this thread

I don't care about movies, but here's some good tv, imo:

Most recently I loved Tokyo Vice (american journalist investigates yakuza crime drama), the latest season of Westworld, the Taika Watiti comedy Our Flag Means Death (very silly pirate show), The Flight Attendant (Kaley Cuoco comedy thriller), and Barry (dark comedy).

Looking forward to the new GoT show and (much later) the new Dune tv show

Just checked AMEX deal mine said Spend $99 or more, get $25 back
Yeah, I used that on the ad-free version last year, dropping it to $80. Not a bad deal, less than $7 a month for the ad free version.

Tokyo Vice is a slow burn, but very underrated imo. Watanabe is great in the show, and I love the neo noir Japanese setting.

Anyone know if I can use this to add a year if I'm having HBO max thru an Internet carrier? It's one of those deals that get me free HBO max for the 1st year only. Thanks!

HBO Max is going away and merging with Discovery+. But I'm sure they will honor full 12 months and give you a subscription to whatever it is is called. But HBO invented premium paid network with no commercials. So it's funny 40 years later they are adding ads.

69.99 is with ads, no thanks, you better taking the with Ads for 104 and using the AMX 25.00 off 99 or more...
