$70 is with ads just to note.
Worth it with Amex $25 offer?
I have the half off deal, and I am honestly having a hard time justifying that. I haven't watched anything on HBO/MAX for a couple of months.

I just did this, $50 Amex Offer, and Raku for $16. Hopefully both post. That would make it less than $40 for the year.
Both credits posted this morning.

I wish I had waited. I went with the Cap One offer and Rak cash back. Waiting for either promo to kick in.

The Amex offer is a better option with less hassle. Good catch, I'm happy for you.

Can I use hbo max Amex offer and use
- for an additional 16 off?
Yes. You can also stack it with a card-linked offer like one from Sam's Club – 15% CB for members, 18% CB for Plus members: https://www.samsclub.com/content/bonus-offers

149.99 - (45 promo price) - (50 AMEX statement credit) - (16 to 21 in clickthrough CB) - (15.75 to 18.90 card-linked CB if you're a Sam's member) which is as low as $15.09 for the 1 year Ad-Free subscription

I also just did the same! My $7.50 mthly plan expired a month ago. I've been busy and traveling and forgot to switch, so paid full price for a month.... while not watching any TV at all....oh well

Daymn! That's a good deal that makes this low enough that it might be worth it for HBO Max paying for.

I signed up for an annual plan and prepaid for the year already. Can I purchase this now for when my annual plan expires? (Probably not, but I'm hoping)

Any suggestions on how to get this deal if my current subscription expires Oct 31st (1 day after promo ends)?

I cancelled my service but my subscription is still set to expire Oct 31st and it won't allow me to sign up for this new deal presumably until after Oct 31st.

Is the only way to take advantage of this deal by creating a new account? I'd rather not but will if its the only way.

thanks in advance.
Yea its real easy...

https://help.hbomax.com/us/contactus

Click the Phone option and have them call you when someone is available to talk - you wont even have to hold. You can have them immediately cancel your subscription after you confirm your identity and they will stay on the phone with you and make sure you successfully resubscribe. I lost my viewing history doing this but didn't really care about that.

I had the same issue. Unfortunately, the reduced renewal rate will not show up until your subscription is completely expired so a new account is the only way until that time.
Not true... You can visit the following site below and follow the directions below. I was able to get the deal today that way.

Have you tried this? Seems as though the Sam's Offer may cancel the Rakooten offer? If you did, in what order did you click everything?

The Sam's Club offer is a card-linked offer that uses Figg by Chase under the hood. First, activate the offer with AMEX by 10/14. Then, you'll link your AMEX card with Sam's Club Bonus Offers and activate the offer at Sam's Club. You do not need to click through to HBO Max website from the Sam's Club website. Then you click-through to the HBO Max website from the cashback portal. All of the cashback is YMMV. I did try it myself with AMEX, TCB and Sam's Club. There is some more discussion on https://slickdeals.net/f/16099633-eligible-amex-cardholders-new-members-1-year-hbo-max-ad-free-streaming-service-55-after-50-statement-credit-w-amex-offer.

The best deal is to just roll over from one streaming service to the next month over month. Even if paying full price per month, it is still slicker than an annual sub.
