PURCHASE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
I purchased an e-bike from this company. The bike arrived damaged, but joyride sent replacement parts. Unfortunately the battery still did not fit onto the bike. The company then stopped responding to my emails. I now have an expensive nonfunctional e-bike and threw away nearly $1000! I honestly can't even believe it. Personally, I wish I'd gone with another brand.

Seems like a legit company but sounds like bad news if you have a problem they don't want to deal with.

Here's some information on my two ordering experiences to help others out. First I ordered a Juice e-scooter a couple of months ago. (https://corporate.joyridebike.com...-e-scooter) It shipped a couple days after the order was placed and arrived within a week. I had it set up and was out riding the same day it arrived. It has lots of pep and gets up to 18mph in a hurry. On gradual hills I can hold max speed, but on steeper hills it'll drop off a little bit. For where I live, it's certainly no issue. If I hold my speed around 12mph, I think I can get upwards of 25 miles on a charge. If I'm maxing out at 18mph, it's probably just a little under 20 miles. Obviously that varies based on starts/stops, hills, wind, etc. I did take one rear reflector off and added a bike trailer hitch. I now use the scooter to tow my son all around town. He absolutely loves it! And even with the 50+ pounds of trailer+kid, it still holds the max speed at 18mph on flat ground. With the trailer, I'm getting about 15 miles at max speed on a charge. We can still hit 20 miles if we just cruise closer to 12mph. At $360 with free shipping and no tax, I have absolutely zero regrets getting this scooter. I'd encourage anyone to go for it. And it looks beautiful with the wood deck, especially at night with the blue lights glowing underneath.

After getting my scooter, I was so impressed that I ordered the Laguna ST cruiser bike for my wife as a surprise for her birthday. That one came in at $960 with free shipping and no tax. (https://corporate.joyridebike.com.../laguna-st) Just like the scooter, it arrived a week after I placed the order. It took me a couple of hours to finish assembly out of the box. After hopping on for a test ride, I was immediately impressed! I've never been on an e-bike before, but as soon as I started peddling this thing just took off and accelerated straight up to 10mph going up a hill. Depending on the power assist level, it will hold your speed at 10, 12, 15, 18, or 20mph. And if you're especially lazy, you can set the cruise control and not even pedal. So far the longest ride we've done with it was just under 15 miles. By the end, it still showed 80% battery remaining. I did take the bike in for a tune-up as the brakes and shifters needed some small adjustments that I couldn't quite get on my own. The only negative comment the bike shop made was that the disc brakes included were on the cheaper end, but they had nothing else bad to say about it. The technician said he rode it for a couple of miles and it had a really nice smooth ride. He actually seemed a little surprised at how nice it was. I assume that there's a good chance they haven't seen a Hurley bike before. They just recommended upgrading the brakes when the pads wear out. Overall, we were again impressed by the quality of the bike, especially at the price point. My wife absolutely loves riding it and actually wants to go biking now. I'd have no hesitancy in recommending Hurley branded bikes to anyone. The scooter and bike we got are fantastic!

Yes, but not easily. These are not the "swappable" models.

What is carrying weight(Amazon product page showing 40lbs).
Manual states 40.3 pounds as well. It feels about right.
Thank you @Steve_Armstrong for the reply. Ordered Juice and emailed company to cancel of Hang 5 ordered last week. Good to know that Juice battery pack can be replaced with some effort. For drum-brake, quite few popular models like Ninebot MAX and couple HiBoy scooters are still using while people saying that disk brake performs better to stop the scooter and easy for self maintenance later on. Once received Juice (ETA Sep 8 - 13), will try reach the battery pack myself.

Mine showed up. It's packed in factory original packaging but it shows clear signs of being used before.

Few small scratches on the body and wood deck, nothing major. but the corner of the plastic covering the LCD is cracked slightly, and the plastic cover clearly shows someones fingerprint as they tried to stick it back down.

So these are clearly not new - are they returns or something? I just hope nothing is wrong with it. Charging it now, we will see.

Ill post some pics in a bit.

Same, for my 2 scooters. But besides that they seem to be fine. Guess only time will show how they will hold up.

Just a guess that this sounds like QC possibly testing the items they received from their supplier in China.

I let mine charge and tried it out, it's pretty good, especially for the price we paid. at 700, hell no.

Compared to the Bird rental scooters it's kinda slow but it gets the job done. I'm more excited to start modding it lol.

Here are some photos of my "used?" unit. You can see some of the scuffing in areas, and someone sharpied over the scratches.

Ordered mine on 08/22 got shipping notice right away, Package was picked up on 08/24 and received today 08/29. Communications from Joy Ride and FedEx throughout process. Mine looked new, box was a bit roughed up and packing materials inside showed some damage but the Hang only had the taillight lens loose in the package. A little clear Silicone and taillight lens is in place. Everything else was fine, checked all screws everything was tight. Valve stem on rear tire has a retaining nut that was loose tightened it. Valve stem on front tire was going into tire after I tried to use included pump, so probably no retaining nut and it was difficult to get to so had to get extension to air it up. Tire pump included is worthless lets all the air out of the tire when you connect or disconnect it. Put on extension and used my compressor to air both tires. Charged up the Hang and tried it out, first unpowered on the driveway to get the feel, then some slow maneuvers on the street, then around a couple of blocks in slow mode. Then fast mode down the block and back. Happy to report that Hang indicated max speed of 9mph in slow mode and 15mph in fast mode at my dressed weight of 210 lbs. I am pleased with my purchase.

I got mine today and here's my quick take -

Box was original and a little beat up, but not that bad. The unit looks new to me. I had to cut away the zip ties and plastic around it. It seems well built and I rode it on the driveway for a minute or so.

I'll use it a little more tomorrow but I think it's a solid buy at $240.

Not sure if you already tried this but it won't turn on if it's still plugged into the charger. Also you have to hold the button for like 5 seconds.
