I don't understand. Who said these are for gamin? But, Yes, we are watching SD go down the drain in realtime. : ( I notice the censorship of posts from retailers which don't give them click-through revenue. Plus, I think their now feeding me targeted non-deals. End of an era?

I mean, not really, unless by gaming you mean 1080p low settings or 720p medium settings at 45 fps.

Battery is poor in all 12th gen laptops compared to Ryzen. However, this laptop has better cooling than most similarly priced 12th gen laptops like HP Pavilion 14 and Envy series, Dell Inspiron 5000 and 7000 series 14 inch laptops and that is true for last 2 generations of this laptop. Also, it pushes a lot of wattage to the CPU and can maintain that for longer duration.

We're seeing a lot of Iris Xe gaming laptop popping up lately. Can it really game? Or are we witnessing slickdeals being bought off in real time.

They are integrated graphics. Not discrete graphics.

You can look at the igpu as a bonus. You can do light gaming and even decent gaming if you go back a few years on your game choice, but the intel igpu can't hold a candle to the AMD 680m igpu in the 6800u/h. AMD 680m igpu is more powerful than a Steam Deck and can actually game on lower settings. Check gaming on those igpus on YouTube.

You can play thousands more games if you use emulators. Should be able to play up through PS3 and WiiU. 😉

You made some generalized statements that are wrong/misleading. AMD 6th gen has two major IGP versions, the 680m (good) and the 660m (okay). The 660m is on the R5 6600u and R5 6600H, which is what this competes with. The 660m has half the performance of the 680M, and is very similar to Vega 8 and Intel Xe 96 EU, so it is not much better. The 680m is better but only a couple of laptops have the better 680M and no dGPU, because its in AMD's expensive processors, which are in laptops that cost $1000+

Yes with egpu setup. The 12th gen processor supposedly gets rid of performance hit from thunderbolt connection. I'm currently playing GTA v on an 920 yoga that has an 8th gen i7 and egpu with 1080 card via thunderbolt.

Yes. I edited it. I was just thinking of the 680m. 660m isn't half the power from what I've seen. Between 61%- 70% as powerful as the 680m, depending on the game.

He gave a perfectly valid statement about the RDNA 3 based Integrated Graphics performance of 660M and 680M and both are faster than Intel's Iris Xe Graphics with 96 EU, even within the 12th Gen CPU with 45W TDP. The U and P series versions are even slower. I get it that you're an Intel fanboy and literally go to every thread to downplay AMD but never bothered to provide a single review for reference. Below is the Notebookcheck.net page for Radeon 660M with all the comparisons. As per their ranking, Radeon 660M has a 12% higher score than Intel Iris Xe Max Graphics, the dedicated version of 96 EU Iris X graphics, with 4GB dedicated memory. But feel free to share those reviews where Iris Xe 96 EU version within same power limit, performing similar to 660M.

You were right in the 1st place. Read my previous post. Radeon 660M is still more powerful than Iris Xe 96 EU version by 7% minimum and even more when the TDP is low which normally you see in most Thin & Light UltraBooks. Iris Xe can close the gap if given huge amount of power. For example, say you're using a Asus ZenBook S 14 with 6600U and a TDP limit of max 25W and then comparing that with a i7-1260P with 96 EU iris Xe, running at 40W constantly. Normally Intel Fanboys cherry pick these results to claim their fanboyish claims.

Similarly Radeon Vega 8 performing similar to 660M is another hoax. The comparison was done with a Desktop 65W-100W TDP Ryzen 7 5700G, Liquid Cooler and an ATX Case, running in a Desktop with a Ryzen 5 6600H Laptop with max TDP of 45W. In that condition, AMD Vega 8 was almost matching the 660M, not beating it in a 45W max TDP within a slim Laptop. If you run both inside a laptop with similar cooling and power limits, 660M will go miles ahead. Proof: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3...LR9o&t=45s

And that guy is a Intel fanboy, check couple of his posts in the past, even claiming Ryzen laptops performs poorly than Intel in Battery based on some random reddit comments where literally every reviews shows that it is the exact opposite.
In fact his claim that 660M performs similarly like a Vega 8 or Iris Xe 96 EU is completely erroneous because iris Xe 96 itself is 10% to 15% faster than Vega 8 and if 660M performs similarly to that, then it is definitely better than Vega 8, isn't it? Hope you understand how technically wrong his arguments are, contradicting his own claims. He loves Intel very much.
