Someone asked about how we're paying for tax on this since Zavvi is in the UK. I asked the same thing when I purchase stuff from eBay sellers a few years back, and long story short, we can thank our legislation for that....some states (like California) were losing out on tax income so they did something about it. No matter where your item is from, Canada, China/Asia, or the UK and even if the seller is from there tax is automatic because they're using a US online vendor's platform.
I actually ordered this product from them a couple of weeks ago (same price, but had to pay shipping (go figure) and it did come from the UK (per shipping label), wouldn't have known they'd have them re-stocked so soon and sans shipping charge. I was kicking myself for not buying it last month when Zavvi first had and had to pay $1 for shipping. I thought Lego was going to restock, but apparently it's been months since they've been sold out.
The packaging was good (filled with those air bags), but the BTTF box itself was maybe B or B+ at best, but I'm going to open it up anyway. The one I purchased this morning am hoping it'll be a fresher stock since they had about 581 a couple of hours ago (yes, I chatted with Zavvi to try to amend my order to add some shirts so I wouldn't have to pay for shipping on a separate order). With that, if you're going to collect it and not open, it's 50/50 chance. However, can't beat the price for now. With the promo Zavvi has on certain t-shirts, I was able to get 4 shirts for $30. If you buy the BTTF Lego 10300 at say Barnes & Nobles at $199.99, well I was able to get more bang for my buck at Zavvi at the same price. Just sayin'. Glad you all are able to take advantage of the deal...
Walmart still showed $279 on my end at the time of writing this message.
