Our shop uses these type of ecoboxes. We're pretty heavy handed with them and they've never leaked. Some of them stay opened on the shelf for up to a year without issue.

I had not heard of this brand, so I looked at the Petroleum Quality Institute of America site. The additive packages look good for this oil:

Decent amounts of moly, boron and zinc.

motor oil is usually 5quart (1.25 gal).

6 gal = 4.8gal
$46/4.8 = $9.58/5quart jug

GREAT price and without rebate.
too bad i already bought 2 jugs from Penzoil (waiting for rebate...)

My understanding is that there are no rules about blend so it literally could have a drop of synthetic and qualify as blend.

Interesting deal

I may not bite only because I'm not sure I want some Franzia box of 6 gallons oil in my garage open and leaking and it would take me a few years to get through it. I have been jumping on those Pennzoil 25 dollar rebate thingys where the price gets similar and I have a couple discreet 5 quart jugs to put on the shelf

Worried about it leaking during storage. It's in a plastic bag inside a cardboard box

Wow thats amazing. Am reading gallons and am like: that makes no sense. I have paid BMW $200 for 3 years but might make sense to still buy it. Cause every now and then the car burns oil! So much for a lux car!!
You should look into FCPEuro, everything you buy from them is lifetime guaranteed, yes even brakes/oil etc. You have to ship the old oil or parts back and they will send you new

I also have a Toyota with the 3.5L engine that takes 6.4 qts. I add 6 qts of oil and a can of LiquiMoly Anti-friction additive (300ml). Works out perfectly.
6 gallons of oil = 4 oil changes for the Toyota.

Use local pickup. I'm in CA and show branches in Riverside and Orange County. There are probably some near you.

Edit. Nevermind, they won't ship to CA stores for pickup!

The links for high mileage synthetic blend is wrong, the links takes you to conventional oil

The links are correct. The Grainger "base oil" description states conventional, but the item itself as shown in the picture is synthetic blend.
