Our shop uses these type of ecoboxes. We're pretty heavy handed with them and they've never leaked. Some of them stay opened on the shelf for up to a year without issue.
I had not heard of this brand, so I looked at the Petroleum Quality Institute of America site. The additive packages look good for this oil:

Decent amounts of moly, boron and zinc.
Is motor oil legal in CA?

motor oil is usually 5quart (1.25 gal).

6 gal = 4.8gal
$46/4.8 = $9.58/5quart jug

GREAT price and without rebate.
too bad i already bought 2 jugs from Penzoil (waiting for rebate...)
You math is off…

6gal = 4.8gal
?!?!?!? How?

Has anyone found the claims found on name brand oil that it says it meets SAE specifications, and meets specs for all auto engines... etc. ??????

What's up with the color description? Normally new oil is honey colored. This one is described as black… I want to grab some 5w20.

In plain language and for those that learn better by visualization, 6 gallons is 23.2471quarts… basically 4 and a half of the 5 quart jugs everyone is accustomed to buying…

Wow thats amazing. Am reading gallons and am like: that makes no sense. I have paid BMW $200 for 3 years but might make sense to still buy it. Cause every now and then the car burns oil! So much for a lux car!!
Hook it up like an IV bag. You'll be fine.

Does synthetic expire? My car only needs one gallon, so I would keep one of these for 6 years.

Like you said, at the risk of a debate. I just take the word of the team of engineers who built, designed, and tested my engine. They're a lot more educated, and paid a lot more than likely anyone else here. 😅 me especially
That's only true if they aren't BMW engineers. There is well over a decade of lawsuits, and damaged engines that demonstrate that BMW does not know anything about oil.

I'm not sure I understand your logic.

changing the oil more frequently will be good for your engine.
Exactly my point.

If your oil "tests fine" then why would there be a buildup of carbon deposits of "old oil" in your engine clogging it up?

If your engine is burning oil and creating a buildup of deposits then changing the oil more frequently simply won't matter. It's just going to burn that oil and create deposits.

If your oil has a lot of deposits and no longer protects the engine then changing the oil more frequently will be good for your engine.
WATCH THIS!
for those that still debate about oil change!Peace.

Your mechanic has probably seen so may engines ruined by oil deposits clogging vital passages and filters. Or carbon deposits building up on rings and valves, causing engines to 'burn' excessive oil, which can also ruin other components like spark plugs and catalytic converters.

It's the cumulative build up of deposits that 'old' oil leaves behind in your car that's the problem.
Meanwhile the oil that's in your car today could 'Test' just fine. That doesn't mean your pistons rings aren't a ticking time bomb because you went 10K miles between oil changes.
You mean like this?

It IS wrong as written, but I understood what he meant. He meant 6 gallons = 4.8 jugs(at 5 quarts each).
