I keep these at home and in my car. Nothing worse than getting meat stuck between your teeth at a restaurant when you're out on a date with a hot babe. Don't want to sit there picking my teeth with my finger nails. Also great for getting around your gums where your toothbrush misses.

Are you able to floss your back teeth with these? I'm having a hard time understanding how that its possible. I tend to gag when flossing my upper rear teeth so I'm wondering if these would help.

Yes, you just need to figure out how to hold them and remember the angle (at right angle to the teeth) changes as you move back. I hold them with thumb and index finger in the middle of the shaft perpendicular to it on the other side of the floss side which allows angle to be changed as I move back. That way I don't need to stuff my mouth with fingers to floss back teeth with these and get enough grip and leverage than holding them in the end. But it isn't perfect. Leaves enough there for WaterPik to be necessary.

Interesting. Thanks. Both types look like they would make flossing easier but just remembered I don't want to throw away plastic each time I floss. I think I'll look for something with more reach and reusable that only needs floss. So far I see reusable ones that take spool type floss refills. I wonder if the spools themselves could be refillable with normal floss. Down another rabbit hole I go.
