Not seeing the value here. 2TB Gen 4s are usually $200-215 when on a good or semi-decent sale respectively. Add $20-40 for a heatsink... doesn't equal $280.

Too overpriced.

A Kingston KC3000 ($184) plus Sabrent heatsink that fits PS5 will give better performance for less.

It uses the Bics5 112 layer nand that can give high performance at higher capacities.

Problem with these high performance flash based SSDs is that the higher densities are slower. So a lot of 1TB SSDs do better than 2TB SSDs including this one. But if you need 2TB, there are only a few high performance options and the Bics5 is supposed to overcome that.

But this one is not enough performance for the price.

A lot of marketing BS to push it.

For normal users, probably not much. For those that do a lot of rendering/encoding. the faster the write speed, the better it is.

I wonder if these will drop more when the imminent gen 5 ssds come out. I'm definitely holding for now

Question is will your rig be compatible? I think it has to be PCIe 5 to see max speeds.

I'll keep my 2TB 980 Pro for $150. Anyone else is free to pay almost double for this drive.
