Almost every Qi wireless charger on the market these days supports either 5W mode (like the cheap IKEA pucks [ikea.com]) or 9W/10W charging. The number of chargers from reputable brands like this one that support 15W charging are more limited (that standard having debuted only since around 2018). Going even further, this Pixel charger supports the even higher 21W wireless charging mode of the Pixel 6 and 23W wireless charging mode of the Pixel 6 Pro.

Of course, whether any of that is worth the price premium you've cited is up to the individual buyer.

Good luck!

The biggest feature I'd call out with these Pixel stands that distinguishes them is the ability to control the charging profile with the phone. Typically the only way to directly control charging in this way is through either other software or selective use of specific wired chargers with varying charge capacities.

Optimized (default)
Balances charging speed with fan noise for the best out of box experience
Max
Charge at the highest possible speed, given device conditions, battery charge level, and other factors.
Quiet
Make the fan run as quietly as possible.

There's probably some value certain users might find in being able to switch between Max for a quick boost as well as Quiet mode for the bedside table and to otherwise limit the impact of wireless charging on your battery (as it minimizes heating). All of this in a single charging device/setup.

Good luck!

$60 sounds pretty insane for a wireless charger...
I get that it's a "Pixel Charger" and there's all of like 3 things that it does, but what could possibly be worth $60 here?

Does anyone have any real-world experience with these, i.e. real use-case? Intrigued but struggled to justify this over the 10W original. Seems anywhere I set my phone down to wireless charge it's no rush.

I think it's more gimmicky. I have gen 1, but that being said my toddler loves seeing the pictures that pull up and cycle through. Pretty sure you can set that up on any charger via tasker or similar app.

Doesn't work with my 6a! 😠
Have you considered attaching an aftermarket Qi receiver to your Pixel 6a? They're not exactly retail devices, but they've been around for years...

Good luck!

Any truth about wireless chargers degrading the battery faster because of the heat they cause? Only reason why i haven't switched to wireless but don't know if it's a fact.

That is true but the reason they are helpful is the charging ports are super sensitive to dust and lint. I have owned several phone and never an issue but for some reason Pixels always have issues so it is good to know you can wirelessly charge them, outside of the 6a.

Price matched on the google store (not the Amazon one). I have Google One, so 10% off of that with free shipping, vs the 5% I get for Amazon.
