Before the bicycle snobs chime in that this is landfill junk... this bike will likely be perfectly adequate for YEARS of riding on the road and lights trails that any person could typically walk or run on. And a "mountain bike" is a style of bike. It just means all-terrain. It doesn't mean it must be able to ride the most difficult downhill terrain imaginable or else it can't be called "mountain bike". Lol.
BUT, having said all that, it couldn't hurt to check your local goodwills, etc if you're looking for a cheap bike. One near me had 3 or 4 cheap adult sized roadmaster mountain STYLE bikes the other day for $20 each! They had dirt and surface rust on parts and the tires were worn, but a couple hours work and it should get you around the neighborhood just fine.
Here is the problem with this bike…. I think we can all agree that it is a low end bike and definitely not suitable for actual mountain biking. Most would buy this bike for casual riding around the neighborhood. The problem with that is because this is a full suspension bike, the peddling will be less efficient so you will need to peddle harder than you would on a bike without full suspension.
My point, if you're looking for a cheap bike for casual riding around the neighborhood, avoid anything with full suspension. It's a fault, not a feature for low end bikes.
