This is the same company as Secondipity. Usually the same stock but not always. Support is the same.

Both are very good but inconsistent. I've gotten new tools and I've gotten beat up tools. More often than not, tools are missing atleast something small. Handle for hammer drill, bits, charger, or worst case the battery.

Anytime something substantial is missing I reach out and they more often than not do a partial refund for the value.

I have ordered over 15 tools total between the two. All in all, I recommend them because their deals are unbeatable on some things. Just know what you're getting into.

This has been exactly my experience as well and I've built out my garage/workshop mostly through them. One eye opening realization I've made is the amount of return fraud that Home Depot clearly deals with and must not care about. On more than one occasion I received an old/broken tool (sometimes a completely different model #) so the original returner must have taken it to HD hoping (or knowing) customer service won't check the box. Another instance I've dealt with more than once is where someone put their old/broken battery in the box while leaving the new tool untouched. The latter creates a dilemma for returns since the prices are so good sometimes.

My experiences with them were not so smooth. I ordered 4 fans from them and 3 of them were not working at all. I don't mind they are used but at least it has to work. Anyway, they didn't want to replace it, just told me to return it. I agree they will take care of the issues. But I feel like they don't do the QA well and they just resell the product again once it's back to their warehouse. It will waste your time/gas to return it if it didn't work and I found out the chance is pretty high.

Correct, and I think has been running since Memorial Day—so, most of the summer. Last year, towards end of year, they ran some 40% and 50% off sales, but things would sell quickly.

Seems like about half the stuff I've gotten from them has had significant issues, such as batteries missing, parts bent/doesn't work. They've always allowed a return or given a partial refund (usually $20-$30). However, the occasional new item does make it worth the hassle. They sell Home Depot returns and unfortunately, they don't check the boxes before shipping things out. I don't understand that because paying someone minimum wage to do a quick visual inspection would save them a lot of (shipping) money and buyers a lot of frustration. I've built my Ryobi 40v collection through them. May want to order two of anything you want to increase your chances of getting one that works.

Also concerning is that if you look at negative reviews they block buyers with too many return or partial refund requests.

Same experience here, although I have received a couple things that were broken or just didn't work. They always have offered a partial refund or no hassle return, though. Just the hassle of shipping it back.

Some good deals on Ryobi brushless tools if you're not scared off by used. Over half off MSRP.

For example, brushless impact driver and drill along with two newer 1.5ah batteries (w/ meter) for $70:

Brushless reciprocating saw for $52:

It had only been a couple weeks since it had ended. They restocked and started it back up.

My times have been a bit messed up since starting a new job, I just knew it stopped for a bit. I check regularly just in case there's something special that pops up.

I had the same thought. Have bought many things from them that were missing key things like the battery or charger. Once even had a different battery (2ah when supposed to have a 4ah). HD needs to do a better job inspecting returns.

Sometimes, but sometimes clearly brand new and unused. They are HD returns, so it's a gamble.

I'd be genuinely curious to hear their business model when it comes to returns because they have to be aware that these fraudulent returns occur regularly. It must not be worth their time/efforts to inspect everything if they can just offload it to a third party like secondipity. It seems like they are losing a lot of money selling their returns in bulk to secondipity when some items are clearly brand new.

On a related side note, I'd bet a lot the HD 'hacks' people refer to on this site end up in the hands of secondipity rather than back on the shelves at HD.

I'm not buying anything "used" from that kind of seller on eBay. Whether I get my money back doesn't matter. This seller is blocking people who request returns from them.
