It pretty much strong arms you into buying a second knife at the same price or higher than the one listed. I'll probably think on it until they run out of stock as per protocol.
Lightning makes an OTF that is pretty decent for the price. I prefer my Lightening OTF to this Boker knife. The Kalashnikov feels so slow. I can literally open all of my other folders, manual or assisted, faster than that thing. The lightening feels a bit clunky but opens and closes fast. Fun to fiddle with it. I actually have one on the table and open any packages I get with it. Never carry it outside though, Too thick and heavy and not sure the legality, not that all the ones I do carry would be legal here.
The Lightening knives are actually on sale at Grindworx and their free shipping threshold is $49. A few of the full size are on sale for $25 and the small for $15. I may pick up a couple.

Does anyone know if this includes free shipping, or if not how much is shipping or what is the minimum total purchase to get free shipping?
I have been watching a couple of these, but the sales were at different times, and I think they charge more to ship because of the stupid curved box. Novelty wears off particularly if you like to keep original boxes. This worked out for me because the sale ones average about $30 and I could combine 2 to get over the $59 threshold. I did not get the exact ones I wanted (dagger versus drop point) but I think I can live with that.

I'm looking for a cheap automatic, is this probably the best price point I'm going to get on one currently? I do have to admit I think the handle is rather ugly, not really a fan of the finger grips look. I was spoiled for years on the ganzo g719 got a whole bunch for 15 bucks back in the day, had a few left but all the springs finally went in them ðŸ˜

The Boker Strike and Kalashnikov autos are the best you're going to find around this price. There are some other decent brands at this price, but they're not on the same level.. If you don't like the handle, you may want to check out the Strike. It's a "newer" line and has some differences in design, but they are still both very similar.
I've been somewhat disappointed with Ganzo lately. I have purchased three. One of them is currently being replaced under warranty, but it took over a week to get them to start processing the warranty. The other has an AXIS lock that jams sometimes, but it's not serious enough to replace, but still annoying. Wouldn't be a big deal, but the communication by their customer service isn't very good.

Thanks for your help, yeah there customer service is trash. From my understanding there a Chinese knockoff brand that steals everyone's designs. But can't beat the price, well used to.

It has been messy. Was going through their customer care on Amazon, which for Ganzo is "Ace Knife." Have had to relay messages from them to their support so that they would respond in a timely manner. Finally after a week or so if back and forth, they finally said they were sending the replacement.
This was the last message I received from Ganzo on Aug 22.
"Thanks for the photo.
We`ll send you the replacement asap.
The tracking number I`ll send you at the end of this month."
All fine and dandy, but thought it odd they weren't planning on sending a tracking number until the end of the month. Wondering if they sending it from China. All good though. Not like I'm in any big hurry to get the Ganzo.

Any idea on what's a value OTF? I bought a Ganzo Firebird FH12-SS and love it especially for the price. Feels like a $150 knife, but I paid $30 for it.
A friend of mine showed me his dual action automatic OTF and it blew my mind.

Here's the thing with OTFs. The "good ones" are all very expensive.

Lightning OTF knifes have a good reputations on Reddit. I don't own one personally. But I love my tiny Microtech UTX 70, but even that small knife was way more than I would typically spend on a knife.
Word to the wise, you will fidget with it so much your thumb will hurt and grow a callous. I didn't expect that.

I just ordered two more Lightning knives. An Elite in OD green with tanto blade and a mini Fireball also with a tanto blade. They are fun to fidget.
I have looked at the Microtechs for years but have not pulled the trigger. I have spent similar amounts on other knives though. I think I need to have one in hand to see if they are really worth the premium. The mini Lightening I just ordered is smaller than your Microtech. 1.9" blade which I believe makes it California legal.
