My point, if you're looking for a cheap bike for casual riding around the neighborhood, avoid anything with full suspension. It's a fault, not a feature for low end bikes.

Give it some more time to shake out a bit and you may find the used market become more reasonable again.
I own:
29" mountain bike, solid frame and fork 1 speed
700c gravel bike, solid frame and fork 1x10 speeds
700c hybrid bike, solid frame and fork 3x7 speeds
27.5" $3,000 full suspension mt bike - 1x12 speeds
The shock absorbers on these bikes are absolute garbage and a waste of weight. Go with a solid frame. The brakes on these sub $100 bikes are terrible -- always getting loose. Spend the other $50 and get the genesis bike, it is slightly better.
You do not need 21 speeds, 6 is enough for commuting. I'd rather spend $200 and have a bike for 5-10 years than spend $100 every 6 months.

About the only type of rear rack that'll rudimentarily work on a bike with rear suspension is one that clamps onto the seatpost, but I wouldn't want to take it over any bumps and if you're not going over any bumps then why get a bike with rear suspension.

I'm going to kill that idea.

Buttt, whats wrong with the full suspension? Does it make that big of a difference in power delivery? I ride these kinds of cheap mountain bike around and it is sooooo comfy.
