Here is the problem with this bike…. I think we can all agree that it is a low end bike and definitely not suitable for actual mountain biking. Most would buy this bike for casual riding around the neighborhood. The problem with that is because this is a full suspension bike, the peddling will be less efficient so you will need to peddle harder than you would on a bike without full suspension.

My point, if you're looking for a cheap bike for casual riding around the neighborhood, avoid anything with full suspension. It's a fault, not a feature for low end bikes.
I for one will not sit on anything called The Shocker....
For 90 bucks?

The used markets were a good option but the pandemic turned that to crap. Now everyone seems to think anything remotely related to fitness is made of gold. 🤷
Give it some more time to shake out a bit and you may find the used market become more reasonable again.
I love my vintage bike but bike snubs who call themselves mechanics don't know how to tune a friction gear set. It's insane. So I go on Facebook / CL once and awhile and there are ltierally 40 year old Sears Schwinns that need tires listed for hundreds of dollars. It's completely insane. The supply chain issue hasn't helped out either.

This bike is absolute garbage. You absolutely do not need full suspension on a mountain bike unless you're going to spend over $1k.
I own:
29" mountain bike, solid frame and fork 1 speed
700c gravel bike, solid frame and fork 1x10 speeds
700c hybrid bike, solid frame and fork 3x7 speeds
27.5" $3,000 full suspension mt bike - 1x12 speeds

The shock absorbers on these bikes are absolute garbage and a waste of weight. Go with a solid frame. The brakes on these sub $100 bikes are terrible -- always getting loose. Spend the other $50 and get the genesis bike, it is slightly better.

You do not need 21 speeds, 6 is enough for commuting. I'd rather spend $200 and have a bike for 5-10 years than spend $100 every 6 months.
Post a $200 deal for another bike, and someone else will post the exact same comment and will claim "buy a $300 bike, not this junk" and the story goes on. Nothing ever is good for some people.

I bought this bike. I rode it two blocks and it fell to pieces and I wound up in the hospital with a fractured skull. We put the pieces by the street and the garbage man refused to pick it up. Said it wasn't worth his time.

I assembled 2 Roadmaster bikes ($60 Black Friday pre-Covid) for a kids Christmas raffle and the components were overtight and underlubed. I had to readjust wheel hubs and crank cones and add grease if not they would not last long. I have the special tools because of my bike hobby. Surprisingly the shifters and brakes were adjusted fine out of the box. So these bikes can be OK but don't expect Walmart to do the adjustments I did. Not long term keepers.

I bought one of these on vacation, rode it for a week, then gave it away to a charity. Surprisingly solid bike, required fairly minimal assembly and adjustment to get it up and running. I had only a bike tool and tire pump on hand. I would not recommend for anyone over 5'10"

Can you, and is it easy to mount a rear rack, like this one, onto it?

No, you can't put that type of rack on a bike with rear suspension.

I cannot say I've ridden a $100 bike from Walmart lately. But I will point out that my experience is not talking about a really expensive gas rear suspension either. The bike I have experience with is a full suspension mongoose that I obtained for $175 new from Costco back in the day and is a single pivot springer. I'm 200lbs and by most tales of caution spun here on SD it should have turned to dust below me feet, but it lasted 10+ years of all sorts of beatings.
your ass?????LMAO

Disagree. Also bought several $150-200 bikes for burning man and I'm impressed with their quality. Decathlon FTW.

Even if you can somehow get a rear rack like that mounted, it'll lock out the suspension movement and then quickly break.

About the only type of rear rack that'll rudimentarily work on a bike with rear suspension is one that clamps onto the seatpost, but I wouldn't want to take it over any bumps and if you're not going over any bumps then why get a bike with rear suspension.

OK.

I'm going to kill that idea.

The seat probably looks like an open hand with the ring finger curled inward😆

You clearly seem to know more about the bike than I do.

Buttt, whats wrong with the full suspension? Does it make that big of a difference in power delivery? I ride these kinds of cheap mountain bike around and it is sooooo comfy.
