The Artisan or Classic are better with the tilt head. BF time will be when the deals are. This one was $200 from Black Friday last year. Bought it and returned for the tilt head. It is just much easier to use

Tilt is more convenient, but bowl lift is sturdier with less vibration on heavier batches. If your tilt-head is not holding down securely, adjust the set screw in the hinge under the tilt-head and consider adding an Everdime screw gasket by Mr. Mixer.

I've never had a problem with vibration or not holding down. You can lock the Tilt head in place. You can also lock the bowl in place.

I could never stand the tilts. I love my lift model its my second one. I am at the point where I am expecting the plastic gears inside to finally give out.
I use mine nearly weekly but for sure monthly. I make everything from breads to cookies in mine. Only other mixer I will ever consider is the Hobart countertop unit.
