The crossed out price is irrelevant, just ignore it.

According to price trackers, this set is $33 most of the time and the lowest it's been is $26.71, so the current deal price is pretty good.

I just wish they were made anywhere other than China.
Not sure who would ever pay $145 for this
msrp is that, manufacturer SUGGESTED retail price, i.e that # does NOT matter.. it's their figment of imagination.

And if you click the 21 piece option on Amazon it's only $60. That's the normal price. So the set with 7 more drill bits costs half the "normal" price of the 14 piece. 🤔

I looked at that earlier too, and I think there maybe only 1 or 2 new drill sizes, rest are just multiples, which is fine obviously...

Dammit, I just paid $144.79 for the same set. I haven't opened it yet, I wonder if I can return it.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a decent quality M35 or M42 115Pc cobalt kit?

Hopefully one that allows identical single replacements if ever needed?

Do any of the readily avalible brands have a set like this? Or is there a "economical" Machinists brand to look at that has single replacements avalible, to keep a complete set together?

"Drill Hog" is a scam, avoid them?

Drill Hog is a scam. They don't even have a real address and though everything is smattered with US flags, barely anything they sell (except maybe the cases the Chinese bits come in) is US made.

Thats a shame, because their claim it to good to be true...And I guess it is...

Was hoping that because they were avalible on Amazon there would be some accountability they would need to adhere to with their claims clearly stated ?

Based on what you say, sounds like the bits are low grade anyway, probably the same bits in a harbor freight set or comparable to?

Need a quality set of bits, would really like a set of high value bits, ones that can cope with difficult jobs but not prestigious enough to demand a premium...

If anyone has some suggestions for a 115Pc M35/M42 kit to look at, especially one that can easily get single replacements, really want to find a well regarded set.

Bosch m42 bits held up pretty good so far drilling aluminum. Using ridgid theading oil (cheapest I could find) and zero issues.

I was going to get cheaper no name m35s but don't trust any of those companies (drill America, drill hog, etc.)

Is $145 MSRP or ASRP (Amazon Suggested Retail Price)?

Try Chicago-Latrobe, Cleveland, Cle-Line or Viking Drill & Tool. Prepare your wallet.
