With the age of this I would go with the FIIO BTR 7. It is cheaper, has better codecs, is smaller and has a THX amplifier. Really impressed with it so far. I think that companies need to be more aware of the competition. If this was $150 I would consider it, but for the price I feel there is better out there now.

agreed. Topping G5 just came out at $299. It's not THX but has balanced output, now-common USB-C input.... iFi has good items but their last-gen higher-end isn't competitive anymore. They need deeper cuts to clean out the stock.

I think it all comes down to what sound signature your looking for like all audio products. I agree that it should be cheaper though since it's pretty old now.
