Very good deal! That's cheaper than just a replacement battery alone. I have the 18" version with the 4Ah better and it works great. Battery life is ok but the bigger problem seems to be the battery overheating during use relatively quickly and then going into self protection mode until it cools. I'll be picking one of these up just to be able to swap batteries before overheating.

HARDLY "cheaper than a replacement battery alone". Seriously!!

I can get a 4ah 40v for around $60 shipped (during sales), and this one only comes with a 2ah battery.

the 2.0ah battery is really small for this chainsaw. with my 4.0 i can get through about 5 or 6 cuts of an 8" log, depending on if it is green or dry.

the 2.0 will work, but id plan on getting at least a 4.0 to use as well.

and no... 119 is not cheaper than a replacement battery alone. the 2.0 sells for half that at direct tools when on sale.

Yea, 2a is trash & imo 40v should have longer bar this is par for 18v.

I have the 14" 40v version, and that's the smallest bar that I feel is useful with this kind of power (assuming you are going to tackle 12" logs).

If you have 40v batteries, check out eBay. You get good deals there, especially on tools only (which is basically what this deal is, because a 2ah battery is basically useless/worthless)

You mean brand new and only "reconditioned" because someone returned a brand new product new and unused? LOL...we have been having great "luck" with those and his half the reason DTO is so popular πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

LOL...I love when people try to cast shade yet have never seen the sun personally.

You already showed that you haven't the slightest clue what you're talking about. No need to show us again.

Yea. I've bought "reconditioned" stuff that's never been used, still got tags on the inside stuff etc.

Now I've also gotten stuff that's missing parts etc, but I've either returned it or gotten a partial refund.

Ended up getting a $500 40v snowblower for $120, that way.

Unless, of course, you just buy a 2-pack of 4.0Ah batteries for $79, in which case it is clearly not cheaper than a replacement battery.

Wrong batteries. You linked to 18V batteries. The chain saw requires 40V batteries.
