Always buy the bigger one if you could afford it as with any of these jumpers. They are realistically good for 1 jump at the rated amperage and you normally have to charge them again.
Also they all seem to have a slow drain. So be sure to charge them up every 3-6 months.
Yes you can, assuming the main high voltage battery still has charge. Tesla has a 12v battery that runs almost everything else but the main motors. And yes that includes the door lock and Bluetooth starting system. Once you can open the door and get the Tesla to jump start, then the main battery will try to charge the 12v, assuming that it's still good.
Not as cheap as the ones in the post but we bought
Audew Upgraded Car Jump Starters, Jump Box 2000A Peak 20000mAh Battery Charger Automotive(up to All Gas and 8.5L Diesel), 12V Battery Booster with 3 M
have started cars and minivans multiple times in between charges. They are easy to use, and even have a powerboost for a dead dead battery needing a kick so you do not have to wait. and it really last a year from last charge..
it is 90 have been able to get it at 60 for the last couple of years.. not sure how inflation will play into it of course.
the 1500A/18000mAh are even cheaper but i dont; have it.

Any advice on which one to get? Are the extra amps necessary for sedans or SUVs?

I just never believe when they say it can start a diesel engine up to 6.7L. There's no chance it would start my Cummins 5.9L 6 cylinder engine unless the two group 65 batteries had a bit to contribute. But, I'm willing to be wrong.

I'm in 115F summer area and all my different brands hold almost 90% after 8 months. I recharge every 8-10. And always bend able to jump 2 times and never needed more but charge still holds up. Just need to remove under the time instructions say to avoid major damage to the device.
