The notes say if you have a Sirius radio Stern is standard, but not if you have an XM or SiriusXM radio.

I think my car is XM, but I can't stand Stern anyway.

I have had a SXM subscription in my vehicle for 8 years, never an issue receiving annual retention offers of around $5 per month, for 12 months, which included Howard Stern. My plan expires in mid-September, cancelled when the retention agent was unwilling/unable to do better than the OP's plan. Will allow the current plan to lapse, see if SXM will sweeten the pot.

This has streaming. What it lacks from the Platinum Plan is Howard Stern, Personalized Pandora stations, Stitcher premium podcasts, and some video content.

Does anyone else get annoyed by the censored music? Thought the benefit of getting satellite radio was to not have to listen to the BS.
I get annoyed by the DJ's flapping their jaws about nonsense when I just want to listen to music.
They can eliminate most of the DJ'S and use the money saved to keep the service at $5 per month for everyone!

Are there deals like this if you don't have a physical radio and only want streaming (Platinum Plan)?

I just signed up for the first time. How many streams do you get at the same time? It's only set up in one car, but can I stream while the wife listens in the car? Can I have Alexa streaming to different devices?
You can only have one device streaming using xm app

Usually if you call and complain every year or so that you're going to cancel they will knock a few bucks off the bill. I think I am paying $11 a month for streaming the platinum plan. I listen mostly for Howard.

I'm going on my second year for SiriusXM Music & Entertainment ($4.99/Month for 12 Months)
with U.S. Music Royalty Fee +State & Local Taxes = $6.84

Just when my subscription is about to expire I call them and tell them i'm want to cancel my subscription.
I give them two choices either i continue to pay the same amount or i'll just cancel my subscription.

An absolutely horrific service for music. Not the selection, the quality (compression). Somehow was much better 10 years ago than now.

Yeah, my only reason for keeping this is news and mlb. Sound quality is fair to middlin for music.

Have had the service for many years and have had to do the "call to cancel" many times to keep the same service at the same price.

They recently adopted a MANY tiered pricing system that's so complicated I couldn't figure out what channels were included in what tier. Have been unable to find a chart online on what ALL of the various tiers included within their specific tiers.

I did notice that at least half of the 12 preset favorite channels in my vehicle no longer played, meaning I lost them due to a lower tier. I called a month or two ago and they said they upgraded me to a higher tier for same price. Again, can't tell what's what in a tier. Turned out I got maybe 2 more of my presets back. Still many missing including Radio Margaritaville and the traffic stations. The many tiered system reminds me of a shell game.

I am a current subscriber I got it to work this way without referring to the deal. Transcript follows…

Thank you for confirming Xxxxx. May I know why you would like to cancel your service?

my low price service is about to expire and I don't want to pay full price

I understand that you feel that way. No worries, I can check on any available great deals to help you with the renewal. If it's just about the price, I don't want you to worry about that, cause we're here to make it more affordable for you, you deserve something better. May I ask, what are the channels you mostly listen to?

so unless it is cheap I don't need it
like the bottom 20 stations

Those are great channels! Thank you for the feedback. I am positive that we can work out a package that will surely fit your listening preferences.
And here's the good news! I can offer to you 12 months of our Music & Entertainment Plan for $4.99 per month, plus fees and taxes. This plan comes with:

• Ad-free music and our artist-created channels
• A great mix of music, talk including news, sports and comedy
• Access to Xtra channels to enjoy your favorites everywhere you go on our SiriusXM app

This is a great savings over the regular monthly rate of $17.99. Like all our plans, this plan will automatically renew at then current rates. Let me get you set up with this great offer today!
This is actually lower than the rate yo have right now.

ok
sounds better
can you lock it in for 2 years?

Yes, we can do that. Thank you for accepting the promotion Xxxx. You are truly awesome! To complete the changes, I will be sending you the terms and conditions in a series of messages. Please read through it and let me know if you agree.

Ok

Let's go over the details. The Monthly SiriusXM Music & Entertainment Promotional plan you chose starts today and comes to $6.42 per month for the initial 24 months period, which includes fees and taxes. Your bill is $1.44 for the initial period, which includes fees and taxes.

Longtime subscriber for Howard but they had me up to 13.99. I told them they had e to do better than that but they wouldn't budge for the first time in years so I lm dropping it. Let's see if they offer me something after the fact.

Just saw this post. It does seem they're taking a harder line these days. They offered me a free physical radio discount option but nothing streaming only which seems absurd. But they wouldn't budge.

Like the others mentioning it, $4.99/month has been a standard pricing target for slick dealers over the years. This year I've been trying a different approach and am saving even more money through their "3 month free ($2 processing fee)" promotion. Only trouble with that is you need to have the radio's subscription cancelled before re-upping the promo. I've done it twice and my goal is to see if I can do it an entire year ($8 total cost but the hassle of dealing with cust svc chat 4 times). There is another thread in the forum about that promo.

I had this for a few years but just grew tired of having to deal with customer service and beg, threaten to leave, etc. to keep my current rate.

So, I did something different and signed up for five years of Tune-In for $159.99. I only saw this promotion once. It really is like comparing apples to oranges when you compare Tune In to SiriusXM and Tune In is not for everyone. For me though I am happy with all that Tune In provides and I am good for the next five years without any nonsense with customer service.
