The notes say if you have a Sirius radio Stern is standard, but not if you have an XM or SiriusXM radio.


I think my car is XM, but I can't stand Stern anyway.

I have had a SXM subscription in my vehicle for 8 years, never an issue receiving annual retention offers of around $5 per month, for 12 months, which included Howard Stern. My plan expires in mid-September, cancelled when the retention agent was unwilling/unable to do better than the OP's plan. Will allow the current plan to lapse, see if SXM will sweeten the pot.

This has streaming. What it lacks from the Platinum Plan is Howard Stern, Personalized Pandora stations, Stitcher premium podcasts, and some video content.

Existing subscriber w/ a $5/mo plan that expires in December. They wouldn't do 24 mo @ $5/mo, but they would do 12 mo. That's the usual renewal deal, but I don't mind getting it over with rn.

It's not open to every location. It's fairly invasive, but they promise never to raise your rate, only possibly lower it based on your driving. I was a chronic texting while driving abuser. Keeping that 30% discount made me stop, so I'm better for it.

Current subscriber and was able to just use online chat to receive this deal for 24 months. Took about 5 minutes total in chat. Stated I wanted to cancel subscription unless I received the current promo and they did it without any issues.

First..Howard sucks.nobody should be paying extra when he does 2 half assed shows every monthā€¦
Secondā€¦it works good in the car but you should add any channels you remotely might like to your cars presets so you can channel surf .
3. If you have google homes or alexas etc..it's awesome! Hey google play Sirius xm bpm station. And boom. Plays it with no fuss. I highly recommend and like Sirius .also can stream using your phone which is nice.

I need to renew the one in the wife's car. I'm happy with this offer. In my car I have stern and I have no clue when new shows are on. Feel like I waste my time listeningā€¦..then be like oh ya this is an old one.

You're 100% correct. If fact, you can really tell when Howard plays music on his channel. His channels are not nearly as compressed (he probably demanded the highest possible bandwidth) and the music is crystal clear.

I am on a 3 month free platinum trial (bought a used car that was eligible for the trial) that expires in a week. I was going to try a chat to get a deal. A rep called me today to offer the music & entertainment package for $5 per month. I told him if I could get the platinum for the same $5/month I would do a year. He said "No problem". Have platinum for a year for $72 all in ($60 + licensing fees and taxes). It starts when my free trial ends, so I'm platinum until 09/2023.
