Why? So we can all be stuck paying for E-cores that we don't want?

While this is a good price for the processor and great for people who own an lga1200 motherboard. That CPU has a hard time keeping up with 12600k / kf. So if you are looking to build a new system you might wanna look at some comparisons between those cpu's.

Good deal if your poor. Buy this cpu, get a $100 used MB and your set. Otherwise $300 gets you a 12700K, which is higher on the benchmarks. But MBs and DDR5 is a lot more expensive.

For $600 I now have a whole computer. If I went with 12th gen it would have been $1200+

I like how people are posting as if they'll ever see a difference between 11th gen and 12th gen. If you're upgrading like me from say a 6th gen either are perfectly fine and far superior. Any "performance" arguments are on synthetic benchmarks that other than YouTube reviewers no one will ever see. Great deal and thanks for posting

This is true but if you going in might as well go in for a couple more hundred and not regret it.

Assuming you have a couple more and assuming you would regret it. For every other version of CPU, Intel change their socket. This means that by the time the 14th gen comes around you'll have a chance to regret buying the 12th gen. You might regret things a lot less if you paid a less for your 11th gen kit. I'm still running a 4th gen i7 and the only issue I have is that it doesn't officially support Window 11. That's not something to worry about with 11th gen.

Is it worth going from an i5-11600KF to an i9? Would I need a bigger power supply? Or do I need watercooling or can I use I think it's called cooler master airflow

I was in a similar boat but I went 12th gen and DDR4 instead of DDR5, and saved a lot. DDR4 is still fast, not expensive, and much less problematic as DDR5.
