Which is why you've gotta go to the expensive theaters, where parents won't pay for their kids to see a movie. Keeps the riffraff out most of the time.

Theaters will be packed with $3 tickets. Would rather watch a movie at home.

I just noticed that Cinemark is doing $3 movies too. Maybe more theatres will have similar offers. Hoping for AMC Theatres. Oh, AMC is doing $3 tickets too. I just added a Saturday ticket and it was $3.

My local theatre has $3 tickets online now via Regmovies.com [regmovies.com] and Fandango [fandango.com], but I checked another Regal location and the prices were regular price still. I'm thinking that maybe they haven't updated the pricing online for some theatres yet. Guesing you can buy the tickets in advance at the box office too.

Looks the Regals in my area have yet to update the pricing. Still full price for IMAX.

FYI, looks like the Jaws rerelease will be the IMAX/premium format film that weekend. Not bad for $3

Regal in my area isn't showing any listing that far ahead. Is there a way to get around that using Atom or Fandango?

My local theaters have the $3 price listed, but they replaced all showings that day with only 3 movies: Gigi and Nate, Jaws, and Honk for Jesus.

I'm hoping it's a glitch and not just a way of discouraging use of their own promotion.

Too many annoying uncivilized kids at the theaters. I've seen parents drop off a van load of kids unsupervised to run amok as if the guest at the theaters are the babysitters.

Worked for AMC, I just bought two $3 tickets for 9/3 but they also charged me a $2/person online convenience fee so total was $10.

I gave you a like. But at what point do we just wait for the home release where I can enjoy the movie in the convenience of my home, with all the bells and whistles (4k OLED, home theater, alcohol, snacks, quiet)? For me it's at $15 a movie.

Even at the "grown up" movie theaters you have some annoying people. I saw DB: Super Hero matinee yesterday and there was one chap who apparently doused himself in cologne, Axe or something. Smell was overwhelming. Probably just the demographic for DB? Lol

Celebrate National Cinema Day With Regal
See ANY movie in ANY format at ANY Regal theatre for just $3!
On Saturday, September 3, join Regal and the Cinema Foundation for a celebration of moviegoing. There's nothing quite like watching a movie on the big screen. It's not just something you do—it's a feeling.
It's eating popcorn in a space built just for movies. Being part of a laughing crowd. Glancing wide-eyed at a friend after the big twist. Screaming and holding a hand when it gets too scary. Cheering when the hero makes the last-second save. Being deep in a conversation that will consume the evening before you're even out of the theatre.
That feeling is worth celebrating. And the best way to do that is with one last Summer trip to the movies. We want everyone to join the party, so every ticket to every showtime on September 3 will be just $3!
