make sure you look at the review pictures. there are different grades of stainless steel and the cheap kind does rust.

Any stainless steel is capable of rusting. Some are just more resistant than others. When you're done using any stainless steel kettle, you should remove the water, especially if you have hard water. Guessing some of these peeps left hard water in their kettle then got upset when things didn't go as planned.
