Given the little that these do, they take up waaaay too much space. It's great if you're trying to fill space, otherwise I'd want something a lot less voluminous. I guess they would find it harder to justify their high prices if they pared this down to a minimum. If you can buy a drip coffee maker for under $20 then what about this is 70, or 99 or 139. It's just big empty piece of plastic.
