I've been looking for something smaller, but no one makes small phones any more.
I had considered a used pixel 4a, but that is quickly becoming outdated.
For the $250 and under price range, it looks like this is the best deal going right now.

I'm just wondering if I might be able to get a better deal if I'm able to hold off for Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

It's a very thin skin. That has nothing to do with it though. Lenovo is just awful about updates.
