I actually have both and prefer the HyperX because of the in-line control and the more flexible mic. I have two Arctis headsets, and both have a plastic mic stem which is very challenging to keep close to my mouth because the stem likes to go back to its old position. The HyperX has a metal mic stem that actually keeps to the new position I put it in, and so stays near my mouth. You can think of this as trying to make a flexible plastic tube hold a position vs a bending a metal wire to hold its position. As a result of this, I sound clearer on the HyperX.

Additionally, I like the in-line controls of the HyperX over the headset built-in controls on the Arctis. With the Arctis I am always confused if I am muted or not. With the HyperX, I can easily see if I am muted.

Try Steel Series Arctis instead, this brand is overrated.

I hope this headset is miles ahead of the HyperX Cloud Stinger because those are awful.

I would say Steel Series are over rated, and get uncomfortable after longer sessions for me. The memory foam earcups just keep compressing until they are flat making my ears hurt. I have a medium sized head. HyperX is so light and comfy you might mistake it for being cheap quality at first, but that is not the case. The build quality of the hyperX seems better than Steel Series too, and friends say the mic quality is top notch.

IMO this should be FP. Also I think these could be used on any console, not just Xbox.

edit: just ordered another as a spare at this price

Does this have a 3.5mm/will it work with the Steam Deck? I bought the Corsair Like New pair from Amazon for $20 a couple days ago for the Deck/extra pair in case my Steelseries break. I have heard great things about the Hyper X headphones and would take the Corsair back if these work.

I've got the Cloud Core 7.1 for PC/Consoles for daily mixed use (music, games, conferencing) and they're really great sounding for the price. These ones look to be the same design but with different connectivity.

According to the internet, they are based on the Takstar Pro 82, a clone of Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro.

It does have a 3.5 Jack so I assume it would.

Read in the comments that you can also use this CloudX version on PS5 despite being labeled for Xbox

Yep same price both will work on any console or device that uses 3.5mm jack, so color preference is the main deciding factor. The PS5 version is very blue, I kinda like the grey better.

Would these be good for conference calls? Comfy for extended use?
