I was with them for 20+ years and finally left them in 2021 when they wouldn't offer anything reasonable. These prices are likely just in markets where consumers have choices. Thankfully, many can get home internet from Verizon or T-Mobile now and it is putting pressure on AT&T and cable companies.

Edit: Based on comments so far and Spectrum requirements to enter your exact address in order to see rates, it is possible you might only see listed rates if your address has had Spectrum/Charter service in the past. Actually saw this price via Facebook ad. So, unless FB shares exact address with advertisers, they wouldn't know I had service before. If Spectrum is the only option in your area, no reason for them to offer these rates. This is very address dependent.

My parents house, which also can get AT&T Fiber, Google Fiber, (a couple other local fiber companies), and Spectrum:
30- 9.99
300 - 29.99
500 - 49.99
1000 - 69.99
My brother-in-laws house that is 10 minutes down the highway from my parents. His only options are Spectrum or AT&T DSL (which AT&T is discontinuing their DSL this year and next year) Same zip code as my parents house.
30 - Not an option
300 - 49.99

1000 - 89.99
And of course, after 12 months the prices will skyrocket. Kansas City was the first city that Google started their fiber service. My parents house is grandfathered in (I forgot the term Google calls it) for being their first "fiberhoods" and gets 1Gb for 39.95/month until it's disconnected or they upgrade to the 2.5Gb plan. No way it's going to Spectrum.
I asked some agents about it, and they said the address needed to be without service for a month, which I don't believe.
I'm currently paying $75 per month for 300mbit...
I was considering Verizon Ultra-Wide Band, but I'm not in their service area. One thing to keep in mind, if you require a dedicated IP from a cell carrier, good luck. They all use CGNAT, which means you're sharing IP addresses with other people.
Always shop your ISP plan for the best price that competition allows. You are a cell in a spreadsheet to these companies.
The best part? I don't even have anyone I can switch to… but they don't check. I just say FiOS anyway.
