Seems like a good deal. Add some RAM to it and it's a good entry level gaming laptop?

Can't find the refresh rate of the display? I'm guessing 60hz?

ASUS website shows this model as 60Hz with a 11260H cpu.

I've been looking for a cheap machine for PCVR, laptop or desktop. This seem pretty close to hitting the mark, with the 3050. Curious what others think - sufficient for VR? price comparable to desktop? better to wait for Black Friday?

A quick search of the model and "problems" or "hinge", and comments here on other Asus laptops, was enough to warn me off. I get budget laptops are budget, but things like bad hinges on these things are rampant and unacceptable.
