All triscuits taste like cardboard to me. Don't know why. I like the idea, but the texture is oh-so-wrong. Perhaps as a cereal they'd be better - soaked in chocolate milk?

they taste like cardboard when they are not perfectly fresh. these smoked Gouda ones taste fine - it's the smell that's the problem. they smell like a crowded carnival in a third world nation on a 105°F night.

I've been to a number of those carnivals and they smell just like they do in the US, just different foods. Now, if you want to compare sewer smells when they are steaming on a cool morning, well ... industrial cities with access to convenience and snack foods always smell the worst.
