Anyone know how this compares to an EGO equivalent?

I have the 80v version from Costco. Amazing performance with about 10-15 minutes run time without pushing the turbo button.

You'd look for CFM as performance indicator.

You mean Ego? Typically Ego will perform better and have a better charger. But Ego tends to cost a bit more.

Just want to add to this. The Costco one came with 2 x 2ah batteries. Since this is a 5ah, you should get longer run time.

Greenworks is solid all around and would put it up there with EGO. I have hand blower, backpack blower, chainsaw, weedeater, and push mower. Love everyone of them and the performance is equal to gas. All 80V though.

If you're already into 60V Greenworks, and don't have a blower, this is a great deal. The 5ah battery alone costs $179.99 on sale at Greenworks [greenworkstools.com].

I've got a 60V set with 5ah and 4ah batteries. They allow me to finish mowing, edging, trimming, blowing my entire yard each week, taking ~2 hrs, with still maybe 20-30 minutes of power left in the 2nd battery.

Note: code LD25 gives 25% off other items. Works on chainsaw! Not the lowest I've seen, but decent discount. Slightly lower than HD price by $20.

5ah at 60v is less joules (1080kj) vs 4ah at 80v (1152kj) so if there is longer runtime, its only possible if it's not running as fast. One big plus to the 2x2 is lighter tool weight and one can stay charging while you work.

You get about 10-15 on one battery so 20-30 on two... Therefore, I would expect this to get close to that. Just wanted to point that out incase someone expected to get 10 minutes of runtime on a 5 ah.

I think I bought the same at Costco recently. It was $299, 80V and 730CFM. This 60v option for below $200 seems to be a much better deal.

Is it generally worth upgrading to cordless at this price if I'm unlikely to use it more than once a week?

Planned use cases are really just blow drying cars after wash, and having a leaf blowing fight with the neighbors jerk yard men that like to blow all their leaves over the fence

I still prefer the Costco 80V/5ah 750 CFM. Peace of mind, if you know what I mean. Wink
