I ordered the same thing (SE with cellular) for the same price from Walmart last night since they had it with the sport loop. Just in case anyone is looking for that.

IMO, that's worth a premium. Unlimited adjustability, less chafing, and quick drying. A lot of people love the stock rubber sport band, but I'm in the sport loop camp. Even some of the $10 knockoffs on Amazon are pretty good (too bad these companies disappear every few weeks or I'd offer recommendations). But the Apple Sport Loop is a cut above, just not worth their MSRP.
Update: it's fine. Looks like it was a one-day phenomenon. The kid loves it.

Bought this for our second grader. Only had it for a day. She knows exactly how to use the watch as she's been using her moms for a couple of weeks. The battery was dead after less than 12 hours of use. Better be a first day phenomenon.

Does this have to be charged daily? I have an Amazfit bip3 pro for $55 which gets charged every 1.5-2 weeks, sends notifications of calls, texts etc, tracks heart rate, has 4 gps trackers with 90 sports modes, etc. It doesn't make phone calls or send texts but is there any other benefits to this over my current watch besides those two features? Also does it play nicely with Android phones?

I enjoy my SE for messaging, timers, phone calls, - it's a fantastic smart watch - but the fitness tracking is absolutely inaccurate. I get notifications that I did a good job standing while laying in bed and can close a ring just sitting at my desk.
New model announcements are on Sep. 7, at which point you might see sales on the more premium models if interested. The SE is a solid model, but rumored to be phased out.
