It has a 3.5mm combo jack. I use this for video conferencing with my laptop, I like the fact that the volume and mute controls are not on the headset, but inline on the wire.

Personal opinion: I have this and a few other headsets and prefer this HyperX because of the in-line control and the more flexible mic. My other headsets have a plastic mic stem which is very challenging to keep close to my mouth because the stem likes to go back to its old position. This HyperX has a metal mic stem that actually keeps to the new position I put it in, and so stays near my mouth. You can think of this as trying to make a flexible plastic tube hold a position vs a bending a metal wire to hold its position. As a result of this, I sound clearer on the HyperX.
Additionally, I like the in-line controls of the HyperX over the other headsets with built-in controls. On the other headsets I am always confused if I am muted or not. With the HyperX, I can easily see if I am muted.
