Don't buy the 3090. If you want this class of gpu, get the 3090ti. I own both, the 3090 has memory on both sides of the card, the back chips don't get cooled properly. Just spend $200 more get 10+ percent performance uplift and not be able to cook on the back of your GPU.

2 years to wait for a ~10% fps increase? Dude you won the GPU lottery getting your 3080 when you did... Especially for MSRP.

It's still $1k for a video card, yeah it's way cheaper than all the price gouging we've seen for these but still alot of money just to be able to play video games on a computer albeit it's top of the line for now. My ideal price would be $600 but I'd hate to spend $1k on this and 4000 series blows could blow these out of the water. I'd wait unless your desperate.

Predicted price of the 4080. Or the historical average price of the xx80 model. Historically, on average, next gen replaces the tier directly above it, so 4080 = 3090 performance, 4070 = 3080 performance, etc.

The 3090 will probably still have more memory, and maybe still be slightly faster than a 4080, but at the cost of next gen improvements (power efficiency, ray tracing performance, etc.)
