Bought it a few years ago when it was on sale(80ish I believe). It works fantastically well! The app is pretty user friendly, but not needed at all. Set temp, set time and leave it! For $34 this is a steal. Grabbing a few for father's day next year for my buddies!

With a low setting of 68F and 1100 watts, how about using it for a heater on a 100 or 200 gallon aquarium. Smilie

Inefficient water heater with the fan blades.

Your energy consumption will be higher than a normal aquarium heater.

If you have smaller fish you risk hurting then with the blade opening.

Plus aquarium heaters can be cheaper and likely more durable than this.

Never used Sous Vide - I had assumed natural convection, like an aquarium heater. I guess I got too used to powerheads, or boiling water on a stove to have figured out how this works. Thanks, I'll stick with old style cooking (plus microwaves and fuzzy logic cookers). Smilie
