I went ahead and ordered a unit this morning with i7-8650U, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD for $275 and got $40 back using AMEX deal... never hurts to have a spare...
Get on the Dell Refurbished mailing list... they send out coupons regularly... when I bought a couple of weeks ago it was 50% off...
If you don't fund a configuration that suits you today, they'll likely have something in several days that does...

The screen brokrn hinge was fixed with drilled hole, nut and bolt had me go through three pass check on air travel. They cant believe i can fix a laptop just like any household furniture. Lol.
The only reason i am looking for a replacement.
The first laptop from 2008 HP refurb business still holds, runs better than the one consumer grade that wife got in 2014.
But if i an getting one here or any business used laptop, i would rather pay little higher and get the latest processor iteration. Any last 3 processors, not beyond that.
